About Us: Junk Express
I’m Gary, Owner and General Manager of Junk Express. Thank you for your interest in learning more about us. I started my career working for several local businesses but I did not feel customers were getting the service they deserved.
I looked into starting my own business and at 19 began an auto and truck detailing business. «Doctor Detail» was a great experience and taught me many lessons about the business world. I learned that hard work is important but you have to wow the customer by overdelivering to really be successful.
When I put the customer’s needs first, the business really took off.
Called to Serve My Country
I felt a calling to serve my country and in 2009 I joined the Army and put my business dreams on hold. I had multiple duty stations and one combat tour in Iraq.
I met my wife Everlyne while stationed at Fort Hood Texas and we now have a wonderful 7-year-old son, Coleman. Upon returning I quickly re-established my detailing business now that I had a family to support!
As I started building my new business, a new opportunity arose. I had recently booked a franchise junk removal company to move a variety of items out of a newly purchased house.
While the initial experience was positive, the company severely underquoted the job (it ended up being twice the quoted price) and after the job was over they left a mess of mud and debris. I recognized an opportunity and decided to start and run a new junk removal business.
Initially, I looked at a franchise but ultimately felt I could better serve customers as an independent company.
My goal is to lead Junk Express by providing a terrific product to the entire north metro Atlanta area.

As a local business and members of the communities we serve, we believe it’s important to give back to worthy local nonprofits. That’s why we donate usable goods to local charities.
We are proud supporters of Furkids, Goodwill of North Georgia, and other local charities.
